26 Countries Commit to Deploying Deterrent Forces in Ukraine, Macron

26 countries have committed to deploying deterrent forces in Ukraine following a ceasefire. This announcement was made by French President Emmanuel Macron.

“Today, 26 countries officially pledged to deploy troops in Ukraine or maintain a land, air, and naval presence to ensure the safety of Ukrainian territories and Ukraine immediately after the ceasefire or peace establishment,” he stated at a press conference following the meeting of the 'Coalition of Volunteers' in Paris.

Macron also announced that the coalition will coordinate the involvement of the United States in providing security guarantees to Ukraine in the coming days. He noted that an agreement has been reached with the U.S. regarding the imposition of additional sanctions in the absence of progress on the Ukrainian resolution issue.
