Russia Publicly Invites US President to Visit Russia: Zakharova

The Russian side is awaiting a reciprocal visit by US President Donald Trump. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by TASS.

“Our country’s president mentioned this while summarizing the outcomes of his participation in the Alaska summit. He made appropriate statements. I can even quote them: He publicly invited the US president to Russia,” the diplomat noted.

In response to a clarifying question about the possible timing of Trump’s visit, Zakharova explained that “this is the prerogative of the president's administration.”

“As for the remaining details, that is an issue for both the administrations of our country and the US president,” added Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It is worth noting that in response to an invitation to visit Moscow during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump indicated that he considers it possible.
