Return to Artsakh is Possible: Movses Hakobyan
Former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Movses Hakobyan, considers the return of the people of Artsakh to be realistic. According to Hakobyan, it is essential to convince people that this idea is viable.
Speaking with reporters at the Freedom Square, where a rally dedicated to the Independence Day of Artsakh is currently taking place, Hakobyan stated that the return would bring honor and dignity.
In response to questions about the possibilities of a change of power in Armenia, Hakobyan noted that there is no alternative to elections. Discussing his relationship with his cousin, Secretary of the Security Council and loyal associate of the Prime Minister, Armen Grigoryan, the general said that he does not communicate with him.
Previously, Hakobyan had stated, “In the long term, there will be no Armenians left in Syunik.” It is worth noting that due to Azerbaijan's military aggression against Artsakh in September 2023, 101,848 people have been forcibly displaced from there and have taken refuge in Armenia, which constitutes the entire population of Artsakh.
