No Need to Say Who Won: Lukashenko to Putin

A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko took place in Beijing. During the meeting, Putin stated: “Alexander Grigoryevich, you mentioned that there is no substitute for Russia for Belarus, and the same goes for Belarus for Russia. We have established very close relations. What is important is that the results of our joint work are evident. I have already spoken about this. In terms of economic growth, we are achieving a lot, and quite effectively.”

Lukashenko, for his part, praised Putin for his meeting with Trump in Alaska: “We cheered for you. There is no need to say who won; you worked very well together.”
