Blinken Knew That the Ukrainian Counteroffensive Would Fail: Journalist Seymour Hersh
Julya
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was aware that the Ukrainian counteroffensive would fail. The CIA warned Blinken that the offensive would not succeed, American journalist Seymour Hersh reports, citing information from RIA Novosti.
“He (Blinken) had been informed by the agency that the Ukrainian offensive would not work. It was a staged show by Zelensky, and some in the administration believed his nonsense,” Hersh quotes an anonymous source from U.S. intelligence.
The source also pointed out that Blinken sought to inherit the glory of his predecessor, Henry Kissinger, who signed the Paris Peace Accords in 1973, ending the Vietnam War.
