Israel Opposes Full Occupation of Gaza
Israeli security leaders are opposed to the full occupation of Gaza, as reported by Haaretz. They have informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the complete seizure of Gaza will not lead to a victory over Hamas. Instead, they have urged him to reach a limited agreement for the release of hostages.
The leaders warned the Prime Minister that military operations could last up to a year, claim numerous lives, and worsen Israel's standing in the world.
