Armenia Supports the Concept of Global Governance Initiative Proposed by China's President

Armenia supports the concept of the Global Governance Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping. This announcement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the meeting in the SCO+ format at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

He stated that Armenia values cooperation within multilateral platforms as a crucial tool for promoting multilayered dialogue, tolerance, mutual understanding, human rights protection, and collaboration. Pashinyan hopes that, through joint efforts, we can contribute not only to the strengthening of understanding and solidarity at the regional level but also at the international level.

“In this regard, I believe Mr. Xi Jinping's proposed Global Governance Initiative is commendable, especially in the context of the importance of maintaining and strengthening a multilateral system based on the UN Charter and its key principles. We support Mr. Xi Jinping's initiative,” Pashinyan said.

He expressed satisfaction that this summit is also historic for Armenian-Chinese relations, as a statement has been adopted with Xi Jinping affirming that the cooperation between Armenia and China has developed and reached the level of strategic partnership.

Pashinyan is confident that the relations between Armenia and China will further develop on this basis.
