Ukraine's General Staff Claims Captured Territory Figures Are Highly Exaggerated

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have stated that despite Moscow's claims regarding the successful summer offensive, Russian troops have failed to establish complete control over any major Ukrainian city.

The Ukrainian General Staff has asserted that the figures concerning captured territories are highly exaggerated. On Saturday, Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, announced that since March, Russia has taken over more than 3,500 square kilometers of territory in Ukraine and has established control over 149 villages.

“Despite Gerasimov's assertions, Russian forces have not managed to fully control any major city,” the statement from the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff read.
