Russia and Ukraine Strike Civilian Areas with Drones

The head of Russia's Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that Ukrainian armed forces launched attacks on Belgorod's residential areas using approximately 140 drones within the last 24 hours. Vyacheslav Gladkov stated on his Telegram channel that two Ukrainian drones struck Belgorod, resulting in injuries to two civilians, damage to three apartments in two multi-story buildings, as well as to two commercial entities and vehicles.

Additionally, drone strikes were carried out on several other localities in the region, where there are also casualties. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during the night, air defense systems intercepted and neutralized 21 Ukrainian drones, with 11 intercepted in the Volgograd region, 8 in Rostov, and one each in Belgorod and Bryansk regions.

Earlier, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed on his Facebook page that one person was killed and dozens injured, including children, due to a Russian strike on a five-story residential building in Zaporizhzhia. According to his information, the Russian side has launched around 540 drones, along with 8 ballistic missiles and 37 other types of missiles, targeting Ukrainian civilian areas.
