The U.S. Officially Begins the Dissolution of Its International Development Agency
USAID has halted operations. The United States has officially begun the dissolution of its International Development Agency. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced this, calling the organization a long-lost business and stating that tens of billions of taxpayer dollars have been saved since January.
USAID was established in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy and has funded humanitarian programs around the world.
