The So-Called 'Zangezur Corridor' A Direct Threat to Collective Security, Says Iranian Parliament
"Any action aimed at altering recognized borders, creating imposed corridors, or executing projects such as the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor' will be incompatible with the interests of the countries in the region and will pose a direct threat to collective security," the Iranian parliament's statement reads, as reported by Tasnim.
The statement emphasizes: "The Islamic Parliamentary Assembly underscores the strategic position of the South Caucasus for the country. This region is not only a geographic boundary but also part of Iran's security perimeter, strategic depth, and civilizational domain. For centuries, it has maintained strong historical, cultural, and geopolitical ties with Iran and continues to play a vital role in ensuring territorial integrity and national security.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, guided by its unwavering principles, has always sought to address regional issues through direct dialogue among the countries of the region, without the interference of extra-regional powers."
