Russia Calls on the 'European Troika' to Wake Up: Iran Will Respond - Russian Foreign Ministry

Moscow condemns the attempt by Great Britain, France, and Germany to reinstate UN sanctions against Iran. This is stated in a declaration from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Russia calls on the 'European Troika' to wake up and reconsider their misguided decisions before they lead to new tragedies. It is necessary to prevent a new escalation concerning Iran's nuclear program, which will have serious consequences for global security. The resumption of constructive dialogue and the search for 'solutions' regarding Iran's nuclear program are priority tasks,” the statement reads.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has stated that the European Troika’s attempt to strike back against Iran seriously disrupts efforts to find a negotiated solution regarding the nuclear program.
