Administrative Proceedings Initiated Regarding Illegal Water Diversion from the Azdhak Mountain Glacier Lake

A call was received regarding the alleged illegal water diversion from the glacier lake of the Azdhak Mountain, located in the Geghama Mountain range.

The received alert has been forwarded to the State Environment and Mining Inspection of Armenia. Administrative proceedings have been initiated, and investigations and verification actions are being carried out to ascertain the facts of the violation.

According to a clarification from the Ministry of Environment, “additional information will be provided after the completion of the proceedings.”
