Tehran Will Respond Accordingly to European Trio's Decision: Araqchi
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated in a phone conversation with the foreign ministers of France, the United Kingdom, and Germany that Iran will respond appropriately to the illegal and unjust actions of the European countries to defend and ensure its national rights and interests. This was reported by Mehr news agency.
Araqchi emphasized Iran's determination to protect its legal rights and interests in accordance with international law and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and expressed hope that the three European countries would adopt a responsible position, taking into account the real circumstances.
Previously, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated: "I call on Iran's leaders to take immediate necessary steps to ensure their country never acquires nuclear weapons, to embrace the path of peace, and as a result, contribute to the prosperity of the Iranian people."
It is noteworthy that the 'E3' countries—Britain, France, and Germany—initiated a 30-day process to restore UN sanctions against Iran on Thursday due to its nuclear program, which, according to Reuters, is likely to lead to escalating tensions two months after Israel and the United States bombed Iran, as stated in a letter directed to the UN Security Council by the E3 countries.
