Pashinyan on the Issues of Publishing Documents Signed in Washington
During such international summits, communication occurs with everyone, but the specific format of the interactions will become apparent on-site, and there will also be discussions about mutual interests regarding the format of communication. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a briefing with reporters, addressing the potential meetings within the framework of the upcoming SCO summit in Beijing.
“But I have no doubt that there will be communications with everyone,” he said.
The Prime Minister also commented on the issue of not yet publishing the documents signed on August 8 in Washington: “Regarding the memorandum of intentions, I must note that none of them directly relates to the ‘Trump track’; instead, they pertain to the crossroads of peace, cooperation in nuclear energy, and collaboration in artificial intelligence and high technologies. It has essentially been a matter of a working arrangement, and we have agreed that we will publish the content but not the text. However, since interest is growing among our society, I believe that in the near future, as it is a bilateral document, we will reach an agreement with our American partners and will also publish these documents.”
“But I also know that there is interest in this matter within certain expert and parliamentary circles. I have instructed that interested experts or certain frameworks of experts, and any member of the National Assembly should have access to the content of this text, in which I note there is no secret. These documents are not secret in their essence and content, they do not have a classified designation, they are a working document. I believe that in the near future we will publish them, and I urge all theorists of conspiracies to expedite this process so that all their expectations are fulfilled at the moment when these memoranda are published,” announced Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
