Israel Strikes Damascus Suburbs
Israeli fighter jets launched a series of strikes in the Damascus suburb of al-Qiswa last night, according to Syrian Syria TV. The publication reported that the number of attacks by occupation forces in the western suburbs of Damascus has reached five.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz further reported that Israel Defense Forces entered a military facility of the Syrian Ministry of Defense in al-Qiswa, destroying and seizing some of the resources.
It was noted that the operation lasted more than two hours and involved several dozen soldiers. Simultaneously, four Israeli helicopters landed in another Syrian city, Sweida.
Earlier, Syria's Foreign Minister Assad al-Shaabi announced that Damascus is facing two main challenges related to Israel's constant threats and attempts by several states to partition Syria.
