Armenia Reaches Historically Highest Point of Prosperity, Says Prime Minister

In the first half of 2025, Armenia exported 103,260 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, exceeding last year's figure for the same period, which stood at 92,838 tons by 11.2 tons. This announcement was made by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, during a government meeting.

Referring to the export of other goods, the minister noted that flower exports this year amounted to 1,245 tons, which is over 110% higher than the previous year's figure of 533 tons in 2024. Peach exports this year reached 6,295 tons, marking an increase of more than 60% compared to the same period last year, when 3,941 tons were exported.

The minister added that in the first half of 2025, agricultural output grew by 7.3%, including crop production, which increased by 13.4%, and livestock production, which rose by 3%.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that these figures are encouraging, as the agricultural sector had either recorded low figures or experienced declines for many years. “I would like to emphasize that as of today, August 28, Armenia is at a historically highest point of prosperity. I am not saying this as something extraordinary,” he stressed. To substantiate his statement, Pashinyan pointed out that Armenian citizens are living 50% better than they were in 2018.
