Samvel Karapetyan's Family Is Forming a New Political Party

71 days in detention, wealthy philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan has already begun to take concrete political steps from prison. This is reported by the newspaper ‘Zhoghovurd’. According to the newspaper, Karapetyan's family is preparing to present a new political party, which will be associated with Karapetyan's famous expression 'Our Way.'

Well-informed sources from ‘Zhoghovurd’ report that Samvel Karapetyan's nephew, Narek Karapetyan, will lead the new party. The founding congress of the party is scheduled for next month, after which Narek Karapetyan will officially apply to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia to register the party in the state registry.

It should be reminded that according to the law on political parties in Armenia: to establish a new party, at least 100 founders are required; at the time of state registration, it must have 800 members; the legal status of the party begins upon registration, and within two weeks after that, the party's charter and program must be published on the state website. Legal procedures are already being prepared.
