Poisoning Incident in Syunik: 17 People Affected
On the morning of August 26, the Syunik regional center of the Food Safety Inspection Body received a report from the regional branch of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It was reported that 17 citizens were admitted to the Goris Medical Center with gastrointestinal disorders and a preliminary diagnosis of "acute exogenous food poisoning."
Rapid control measures revealed that the individuals had experienced adverse health effects during a celebration held at an outdoor pavilion known as the "Posiki Spring" in Goris. Inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body collected samples of the food products used at the event (watermelon, sausage, basturma, chicken salad with mayonnaise, grilled vegetables including eggplant and tomatoes, pork, and beef khashlama) for microbiological laboratory testing. The results of the examination will be published.
