Americans Will Not Control or Govern That Segment: Mirzoyan

It is time for calls for peace to echo from the highest levels in Azerbaijan, to halt the rhetoric that fuels the fears of peoples, and to prevent additional generation of enmity. This was stated by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“As long as we are building peace with Azerbaijan, the comprehensive solution to the issue of prisoners becomes easier,” noted Mirzoyan, addressing the question of the return of prisoners.

The minister also mentioned that they have applied for the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group. “Together with Azerbaijan, we find that those structures can be closed because they pertained to a conflict that has officially ended; there is now peace between the two countries,” he said.

Commenting on who will supervise the road, Mirzoyan noted that the Americans will not control or govern that segment. Ensuring oversight and security will be the responsibilities of Armenia.
