Water Patrol Officers Fabricated False Reports

Based on materials received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, an investigation initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee has revealed multiple instances of water patrol officers from the police force of the Ministry of Internal Affairs fabricating false administrative offense reports.

Specifically, it has been established that a water patrol officer from the Gegharkunik regional squad created 23 false reports regarding administrative offenses during the period of 2024-2025 with a sole intent to provide positive performance metrics for himself. Additionally, two other water patrol officers from the same squad, also aiming to ensure positive work indicators, have fabricated a total of 14 false administrative offense reports between January and March 2024, as well as in April 2025, which were immediately recorded in the database.

These three officers have been charged under part one of Article 445 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia for committing official forgery. The investigation has concluded, and the case materials with an accusatory conclusion have been sent to the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia.
