World's Dirtiest Man Passes Away Shortly After Bathing

Amu Haji, an Iranian resident known as the 'world's dirtiest man,' has died in the village of Dejgah in southern Fars province, reports euronews.com. He was 94 years old and had not bathed for nearly 70 years. According to the outlet, Haji was convinced that remaining dirty helped him live longer.

In a 2014 interview with Tehran Times, he mentioned that his primary diet consisted of dead animals, with a particular fondness for pork. Throughout the day, he would drink a lot of water and smoke cigarettes provided by villagers, as well as cigarettes stuffed with dried animal feces. His hair was cut using fire.

Interestingly, villagers had convinced Haji to take a bath a few months ago. After finally yielding to the pressure and bathing, Haji fell ill shortly thereafter and passed away.
