Lithuania to Manufacture Weapons for Ukraine

Lithuania will organize the production of Ukrainian weapons on its territory. The relevant document was signed during a meeting between the defense ministers of Lithuania and Ukraine, according to the Lithuanian military department.

“An agreement on the intentions for the production of Ukrainian weapons in Lithuania was signed in a bilateral format during the meeting between Lithuania's Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas and Ukraine's Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov. The types of weapons planned for production were also discussed,” the statement said.

The agreement provides for the joint production of defense industry products, technology transfer, project development, and localization of production in Lithuania.

“This will pave the way for a long-term partnership, strengthen collective European security, and create stable supply chains,” emphasized the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
