Instead of Cynical Comments About the Opposition, Focus on Yourselves First: Danielyan to Papoyan
Instead of making cynical comments about the opposition, direct your attention to yourselves, your incompetent policies, and your inaction, which have led all sectors, including the economy, into a tragic state. This statement was made by Garnik Danielyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction of the National Assembly, in response to a post by the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, who noted that 'in August, 762 trucks loaded with fruits and vegetables entered Russia from Armenia, while only 4 were returned from Georgia.' Danielyan responded by saying, 'Gevorg, it is not good to lie.'
In his post, Danielyan specifically mentioned: 'Recently, I raised concerns that dozens of trucks loaded with agricultural products, fruits, and construction materials were returning after encountering obstacles at the Upper Lars checkpoint. There are also reports that a mobile laboratory point will be installed in the coming days, where trucks loaded with agricultural products will be thoroughly examined before reaching the Upper Lars checkpoint. Instead of accusing me of lying, Minister Gevorg would do well to get to work to prevent such issues from arising. Months ago, when brandy producers were staging protests, warning that Armenian beverages were not reaching Russia through Georgia, the minister promised for days that he would personally go to Georgia to resolve the problem. The 'solution' turned out to be a decrease in the volume of brandy production and exports.'
'What was Gevorg doing when the export of flowers to Russia was banned, causing enormous losses for greenhouse owners? Let me remind you that flower producers were throwing unsellable flowers onto the highways as a sign of protest. Trucks loaded with liquid gas are also unable to cross the border without obstruction, leading to a 100% increase in the price of liquid gas. Truck drivers report that under the state's inaction, they are forced to 'resolve' these issues personally with the relevant authorities. Who is responsible for this?
As for the problems with trucks loaded with agricultural products, I am in constant contact with the transporters, receiving videos from them that clearly show the queues of trucks,' wrote Danielyan.
'By the way, Rosselkhoznadzor reports that 146 transport vehicles were received from Armenia with products subject to quarantine in three days, of which 21 were returned, while the Minister of Economy declared that only 4 trucks were sent back from Georgia. Now, who is lying? One of the main principles of our policy is to stand by every group—be it farmers, producers, or exporters. The difference between us and the authorities, who care for their personal welfare at the expense of 'heroic' taxpayers, is also this,' added Garnik Danielyan in his post.
