Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports on Fire in Jrvej
On August 25, at 16:57, the National Crisis Management Center received an alarm about a fire that broke out in one of the production facilities in the village of Jrvej.
Following the complexity classification of the fire as "Level 2," six firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Yerevan Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene, along with duty officers from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department, operational teams from the National Crisis Management Center, medical support duty teams, and a chemist from the radiation, chemical, and biological monitoring department.
A fire complexity alert of "Level 3" was declared, prompting an additional four firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department to respond. Furthermore, six additional firefighting units from the Yerevan and regional rescue departments were also sent to provide assistance.
According to preliminary information, there were no injuries reported. The fire was contained by 18:17 and was fully extinguished by 19:16. Further information will be provided.
