Russians Have Done Things We Dislike, Says Vance
The United States could potentially mediate a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine despite the possible disagreements stemming from President Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this month. This was stated by U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance.
“We believe that only in the last few weeks we have witnessed significant concessions from both sides,” Vance said.
Vance also criticized former President Joe Biden. “I don’t like it. But this is war, and that’s precisely why we want to stop the killings. The Russians have done things we dislike. Many civilians have fallen victim. We condemned those actions from the start, and quite frankly, President Trump has undoubtedly exerted more pressure on the Russians and used economic leverage than Joe Biden has in the last three and a half years. He has only talked but has done nothing to stop the killings. So, you asked what frustrates me. What frustrates me is the continuation of the war,” added the U.S. Vice President.
