G7 Foreign Ministers to Meet: Italian Foreign Ministry Building to Be Illuminated in Ukraine's Flag Colors

Today, a virtual meeting of the G7 foreign ministers will take place. This was announced by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by "European Pravda." In connection with Ukraine's Independence Day, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani reaffirmed his country's full support for Kyiv in achieving a fair and lasting peace, with full respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and in close coordination with the United States and European partners.

"In this context, Tajani will participate in the virtual meeting of G7 foreign ministers, convened under Canada's presidency. This will also be an opportunity to summarize the results of the leaders' meeting held in Washington on August 18 and discuss the prospects for peace in Ukraine," the statement said.

Tajani has also ordered that the façade of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs be illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The Colosseum will also be illuminated.

As is known, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and U.S. President's Special Representative Keith Kellogg will visit Kyiv.

It should be noted that the meeting in Washington will include European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rueten, as well as the heads of government of Germany, Great Britain, and Italy—Friedrich Merz, Keir Starmer, and Giorgia Meloni—and the presidents of France and Finland, Emmanuel Macron and Alexander Stubb.
