Significant Eruption on the Sun

Significant eruption has occurred on the Sun. The information is reported by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"The eruption on the Sun has been rated at M1.7 level," the message states.

According to scientists, a prolonged eruption of the same intensity had preceded this event. Additionally, a minor eruption occurred on the star, which has been rated C1.2.
