French Lawmaker Advocates for Sending UN Peacekeepers to Ukraine

Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the founder of the left-wing party "Unsubmissive France," has called for the deployment of UN peacekeepers to Ukraine to ensure security, rather than NATO troops. "Now, I'm directly addressing your question. Should we go there? I will tell you who should go there. It is the UN forces. So, should there be French people in the UN? Yes, just like, for example, in Lebanon," the French lawmaker stated.

Earlier, former U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that France, Germany, and Great Britain want to deploy troops in Ukraine. He added that during his presidency, there would be no American troops in Ukraine.
