Finland-Russia Relations Can Only Be Restored After Conflict Ends: Stub
Finland's President Alexander Stub has stated that relations between Finland and Russia can only be restored after the conflict in Ukraine comes to an end. He made this remark during an interview with Yle television.
"As I have always emphasized, we cannot change our geography. We have a history with Russia, and we will have a future with Russia. But right now, of course, the relations are very difficult. In fact, due to the war, they do not exist. But one day, when the war is over, new relations will definitely be built," the Finnish president said.
He also highlighted that Finland would establish new relations with Russia based on pragmatism.
