Video: Traffic Police to Implement Measures Ahead of September 1
In connection with the start of the new academic year, and upon the directive of the Chief of Police, Major General Valery Osipyan, the police in Armenia will transition to heightened service starting September 1. Meanwhile, the traffic police have begun meetings with school administrations.
During these meetings, representatives from the traffic police discuss the details of the service to be organized near schools, urging students and parents to adhere to safety regulations. Concerns raised by school principals are also addressed during these discussions.
In addition to these meetings, the traffic police are updating all road markings near educational institutions and installing traffic signs where they are missing. It is important to note that starting from September 1, the police will be on heightened alert for a month.
Traffic police will provide service near all educational institutions, with personnel from the patrol police battalion, territorial divisions, as well as inspectors for school and juvenile affairs involved. The police will ensure the safety of our citizens to the fullest extent.
