Those Displaced from Artsakh Will Be Exempt from State Fees for Obtaining Armenian Citizenship

The Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia has announced that applications for Armenian citizenship from individuals forcibly displaced from Artsakh are being accepted at more than 40 locations.

According to the announcement by the Migration and Citizenship Service, applications are accepted in the regions across all its subdivisions, at the branch operating at 3 Zakyan Street in Yerevan, the main office of the Service, as well as at mobile service offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As of September 1, 2025, individuals forcibly displaced from Artsakh and granted temporary protection will be exempt from the state fee for obtaining citizenship. This exemption is a result of amendments made to the Law on State Duties of the Republic of Armenia on January 22, 2025.
