Signed Documents Fully Align with Our Interests: Aliyev

The process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is nearly complete. This was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

“The signed documents fully align with our interests. We have achieved what we wanted; the Minsk Group is already living out its final days. It has not performed any actual activity and has been unable to take action. However, it legally existed, and now its end is approaching.

The signing of the peace agreement will essentially put an end to the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are also the authors of the peace agreement with Armenia, and our position has always been taken into account when drafting these points. The signing of this document will effectively conclude the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he stated.

The Azerbaijani president expressed satisfaction that an agreement has been reached regarding the land connection between mainland Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.
