Pashinyan Responds to Levon Ter-Petrosyan's Statement
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has responded to the recent statement made by Armenia's first president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan. He questioned Ter-Petrosyan's assertion that the issue of refugees was effectively resolved during his administration, stating, "If the issue of refugees was resolved effectively during Mr. Ter-Petrosyan's governance, then why did our government in 2018 decide to allocate several hundred million drams to address the needs of 90s refugees?"
Pashinyan continued, "Levon Ter-Petrosyan is even more detached from reality now. The problem is not that; the problem is that he has been detached from reality even during his presidency. When people speak retrospectively about the quality of their governance, do they forget the quality of that governance, which started with a parade of political murders and continued with rampant lawlessness in the streets? What else can I say?"
