Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Recalled: MFA

Vahagn Atabekyan has been recalled from his position as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Lebanon. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Armenia.

“Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation, in accordance with part 2 of Article 132 of the Constitution, as well as Article 14 of the law on ‘Diplomatic Service,’ Vahagn Atabekyan is recalled from his position as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Lebanon,” the decree signed by Vahagn Khachaturyan states.

It is noteworthy that Vahagn Atabekyan was appointed as Armenia’s Ambassador to Lebanon in 2018. In 2016, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia on Francophonie issues. From 2004 to 2008, he held the position of advisor at the Armenian Embassy in France and later served as the Extraordinary Envoy and Plenipotentiary Minister of the Armenian Embassy in France.
