Zelensky Confirms Start of Work on Ukraine's Security Guarantees
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed via his Telegram channel that work on developing security guarantees for his country is already underway.
“Important negotiations took place yesterday in Washington with the U.S. President and European leaders. This is truly a significant step toward ending the war and ensuring the security of Ukraine and our people. We are already working on the specific content of the security guarantees,” the Ukrainian leader wrote.
Zelensky added that coordination is currently taking place “at the leaders' level,” with discussions ongoing and preparations being made for “appropriate formats.” He detailed that national security advisors are also in constant contact.
On August 18, a meeting took place at the White House involving U.S. President Donald Trump, Zelensky, and European leaders.
