What are the Main Causes of Death in Armenia?

In the first half of 2025, the main causes of death in Armenia were as follows: diseases of the circulatory system accounted for 6,768 deaths, neoplasms for 2,484, diseases of the respiratory system for 1,392, diseases of the digestive system for 637, accidents, poisonings, and injuries for 436, infectious and parasitic diseases for 156, and COVID-19 caused 2 deaths. Additionally, other diseases resulted in 858 deaths.

Between January and June, there were no recorded cases of maternal mortality due to complications during pregnancy, childbirth, or postpartum periods, while in the same period of 2024, there were 5 cases reported. The maternal mortality rate was 34.2 per 100,000 live births.
