US Will No Longer Provide Weapons and Funds to Ukraine, Rubio Says

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that his country will "no longer provide weapons to Ukraine, nor will it provide funds". Instead, the weapons will be sold through NATO structures and will be financed by European countries, Rubio stated in an interview with Fox News.

Commenting on the outcomes of the meeting between US President Donald Trump, Ukraine's President, and the leaders of EU countries, Rubio noted that "for the first time in three years of deadlock and silence, some movement has been observed".

Previously, the Secretary of State also mentioned that the work regarding Ukraine's security guarantees would involve not just European allies, but also countries outside the EU.

Furthermore, following negotiations with the White House, Ukraine has reportedly promised to purchase $100 billion worth of American weapons as part of a deal to receive security guarantees, funded by European allies.

Additionally, Kyiv and Washington will finalize a separate $50 billion deal to jointly produce drones with Ukrainian companies.
