Levon Kocharyan on the Reasons Behind the Opposition's 'Silence'
Taking action is not an end in itself. To initiate something large-scale, one must also understand that there is a certain chance of success before starting. Otherwise, we all know that a failed endeavor leads to greater disappointment. This was stated by Levon Kocharyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Armenia' faction, in response to reporters' questions near the courthouse.
When asked whether the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, is aspiring for the position of Prime Minister and whether he will run for his candidacy in 2026, Levon Kocharyan replied, 'I won't say anything specific about the elections right now; it's almost a year away. When there’s something to say, we will say it. Robert Kocharyan is the leader of the 'Armenia' alliance and continues to be so.'
Levon Kocharyan also noted, 'The majority of the population understands who the judges are, who are willing to administer justice, and who are executing the whims of the authorities. In this regard, there are not high expectations.'
In response to reports that some members of the 'Armenia' faction are negotiating to join Samvel Karapetyan's team, he stated, 'There is no such thing. I don't know what you are referring to, but I can assure you that there is no such thing.'
