Head of Chelyabinsk Region's Azerbaijani Community Stripped of Russian Citizenship

The head of the Azerbaijani community in Russia's Chelyabinsk region, Arshad Khankishiyev, has been stripped of his Russian citizenship and banned from entering the country. This information has been reported by Russian media outlets.

Khankishiyev is accused of promoting ethnic separatism.

He is a prominent businessman engaged in the sale of fruits and vegetables, and is the owner of several companies, including Fruktdom LLC, Frut-House LLC, Nar Sharab LLC, and Caspian LLC. He has also served as the president of the regional 'Azerbaijan' socio-legal public organization and the 'Regional National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis in Chelyabinsk' public organization.

Yesterday, it became known that the head of the Azerbaijani community in Voronezh and the owner of the city's largest market, Yusuf Khalilov, has also been detained.
