Trump Follows Putin's Advice and Will Halt Mail Voting in the U.S.
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced his intention to lead a movement to abolish mail-in voting and voting machines after consulting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who told him that "no country in the world uses mail-in voting." In an interview with Fox News following a meeting with Putin in Alaska, Trump also stated that "Vladimir Putin, a smart man, said that fair elections cannot be held with mail-in voting." However, this statement is inaccurate; mail-in voting is successfully utilized in nearly three dozen countries, including Canada, Germany, and South Korea.
"I am going to lead the movement to end mail-in voting, as well as, while we are talking about it, the extremely 'not accurate', very expensive, and highly controversial voting machines that are ten times more expensive than accurate and straightforward, branded paper ballots, which work faster and ultimately leave no doubt about who won and who lost the elections," Trump wrote on the social network 'Truth.'
He noted that the U.S. is the only country in the world that uses mail-in voting, while all others have rejected it due to widespread electoral fraud concerns. "I will sign an executive order to help ensure the integrity of the 2026 midterm elections," the U.S. President stated.
