High Fire Danger Situation in 4 Regions: Weather in Armenia
From August 17-21, the weather in the Republic of Armenia is expected to be precipitation-free. This was reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia. According to the announcement, the wind will blow from the northwest at a speed of 2-5 m/s, with a wind intensification expected during thunderstorms at a speed of 17-20 m/s.
The air temperature is expected to gradually increase by 7-10 degrees from August 17-19.
"From August 17-21, a high fire danger situation is expected in the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk, as well as in Yerevan," the statement said.
In Yerevan, there will also be no precipitation from August 17-21. Wind intensification is expected from the evening of August 19-21 at a speed of 14-18 m/s.
