Call for US Gubernatorial Candidate to Withdraw from Race
Recently released footage shows the Democratic candidate for Governor of South Carolina, William McLeod, being arrested while in his underwear. During the incident, he reportedly used profane language and referred to himself as God and Superman. McLeod exhibited signs typical of a person under the influence of drugs.
The Democrat mentioned his upcoming campaign and threatened to 'break his competitor’s teeth,' while refusing to disclose his name to the police. In a profanity-laden tirade, McLeod issued threats against current and former political figures in the state. It remains unclear whether he has taken a drug test.
He has been charged with disorderly conduct. Party leadership has called for him to withdraw from the gubernatorial race, where he is currently the only candidate for the party.
