Poland Repels Russian Cyberattack: The Digital War is Already Underway
Poland's Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Bąkowski, has announced that an attack on the water supply and sewage system of one of its cities has been successfully thwarted. According to him, security services were alerted in time and neutralized the threat. This was reported by nextalive.
Bąkowski emphasized that a digital war between Poland and Russia is already ongoing, indicating that instead of aircraft and tanks, digital counterparts could arrive in Warsaw. He noted that the first phase of such an attack consists of attempts to deprive the country of water, gas, and electricity, as well as to paralyze communications or logistics. “This is what modern warfare looks like,” he wrote on X.
