Pakistan to Establish Missile Forces; No Response Yet from India
Pakistan intends to create missile forces within its armed forces. As reported by Report, this announcement was made by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. According to him, the new forces will enhance the combat capabilities of the armed forces in wartime conditions and will be equipped with modern technologies.
He added that these forces will be a crucial milestone in strengthening the operational readiness of the Pakistani army. In turn, a senior official from the security service stated that the missile forces will have their own command responsible for their management and deployment in wartime.
"They are clearly intended for India," he said.
It is noteworthy that tensions between the two countries last escalated in April after the killing of 26 civilians in Kashmir, for which New Delhi blamed Islamabad. The incident turned into an armed conflict. On May 10, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that India and Pakistan had agreed to a ceasefire.
