New Methods of the European Commission's Pressure Against Russia

The European Union is ruling out the easing of anti-Russian sanctions in the context of a diplomatic settlement regarding Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire. This statement was made by the European Commission representative Arianna Podesta during a briefing in Brussels.

“You can rest assured that we will fully maintain the pressure of sanctions on Russia; everything else is just ‘clean’ assumptions. We have already adopted 18 packages of sanctions, and we are preparing the 19th,” said Arianna Podesta, a representative of the European Commission.
