EU Intensifies Confrontation with Russia and the International Community

The European Union is increasingly escalating its confrontation with Russia and the global community, announcing the preparation of the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions on the eve of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska. This opinion was expressed by Grigory Karasin, the chairman of the Federation Council's international affairs committee.

"The EU is pushing Russia and, in general, the global community into confrontation with its street tricks. On the eve of the important Russian-American summit aimed at achieving positive developments in the resolution of the Ukraine crisis, threats and ultimatums are thundered from Brussels. We have also found time to announce the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions," Karasin wrote on his Telegram channel.
