1.5 Billion Dollars Raised to Meet Ukraine's Priority Needs
A total of 1.5 billion dollars has been raised as part of the initiative to meet Ukraine's priority needs. This was announced by Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“At this moment, we have 1.5 billion dollars. NATO member states can work together to purchase American-made weapons for Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel, adding that this mechanism strengthens Ukraine's defense.
The Netherlands has allocated 500 million dollars for this initiative, while Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have also contributed 500 million dollars. Additionally, Germany announced on August 13 that it would contribute another 500 million dollars. Zelensky expressed gratitude to Germany as well as all other allies for their support to Kyiv.
