US President Donald Trump has stated that he would be able to determine whether an agreement can be reached with Vladimir Putin in the likely first two minutes of their meeting. This was reported by Sky News.

"This is a war that should never have happened. This is a war that would not have happened if I were president. It would never have happened," the US president said.

Trump added that he believes Putin wants to end the war.

"I’ve said this several times and then been disappointed because I had a great phone call with him, and then rockets were fired at Kyiv or somewhere else," he stated.

It is worth noting that earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that intelligence had reported that Putin is certainly not planning a ceasefire.
