Driving Without a License for the Second Time in One Year Will Lead to Criminal Liability

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated legislative amendments aimed at increasing road safety and reducing the number of accidents, based on citizen proposals. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

According to the source, the changes to the Code on Administrative Offences stipulate that starting from August 2, individuals driving vehicles without a driver's license will be subject to administrative liability under stricter regulations. The previously set fine of 25,000 AMD has now been doubled to 50,000 AMD.

Moreover, committing the same violation a second time within one year will lead to criminal liability.
